I was driving along with my window open and I was at a spot where I had to drive pretty slowly when I heard all kinds of noises from branches cracking, breaking and falling.  So I pulled over and was looking into the woods when I saw the source of the sounds.  There were at least 15-20 of them but they were hard to spot because the woods were so thick.  These birds were so heavy and a lot of the branches so dead that as they landed on the branches 20 and 30 feet in the air the branches were breaking off and falling to the ground one right after the other.  So it was just a continuous sound of cracking and breaking branches as the birds moved about trying to find a firm branch trying to stay put.   The pictures do not do justice.  These birds were HUGE and scary looking.
