Running at Gateway National Park, Staten Island NY - Peace and Serenity

Starting the day in the most beautiful place in the world is something I can not get enough of. Every morning I run at Gateway National Park which is a two and half mile stretch along the ocean. There is also the marina there and a playground for children. It is a five-mile run of pure bliss. You feel like you are on an island in a Carribean country. Most days, you can greet the regulars that are there throughout the four seasons. Winter can get a little blustery, but there are the diehards who just bundle up a little more. Some of the regulars include beautiful geese, that stay together, huddling like a group of old friends.

When you finish your run at this most gorgeous place, you feel refreshed and ready to face the world. So many things seem so unimportant - nature makes you realize, take a deep breath and enjoy the world!
