This Weekend in Rockland County NY
If you're planning on spending the weekend in Suffern NY or anyplace in Rockland County, you've got a whole plethora of things happening in and around the county to enjoy.
Beginning this evening in Suffern there is another one of the village sponsored FREE concerts at the Virginia Menschner Gazebo beginning at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Community Center. The band Reflections will be performing.
The weekly Suffern Farmer's Market will take place, rain or shine at Orange Ave and Lafayette Avenue Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. rain or shine. Besides all the local produce there is always great family entertainment and activities to enjoy.
Movies in the Park at Emeline

There'll be a FREE Jazz concert and movie in the park at Emeline Park in Haverstraw. What a perfect venue from which to enjoy your evening out - along the banks of the Hudson River. The Jazz concert by Tre Novo begins at 7:00. The movie for the night "Raiders of the Lost Ark" will begin at 9:00pm. Bring a blanket or beach chair - there'll be refreshments available for purchase. 38th Annual Rockland County Irish Feis

For those of you who are Irish or Irish in spirit, there WIll be an Irish Feis at Anthony Wayne State Park in Stony Point featuring the Celtic Cross Band and hundreds of competitions in Irish dancing, music, singing, art, and celtic design, pipe bands, races, soda bread competition, basketball, an old time waltz contest, and much more.
