HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY HOSTS CONFERENCE AND EXPO - AGING IN PLACE IN SUBURBIA: STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS

Registration for the conference closed over a week ago but some of the presentations will be streamed into the expo area via closed-circuit television. The expo is open to the public and expects to showcase dozens of programs, products and services for the elderly.

According to Long Island's Newsday (8/23/11), the dignitaries expected (one of whom is Senator Kirsten Gillibrand D-NY) will be speaking about such relevant topics as access to transportation, health, social and other services for residents 60 and older.
