I took some pictures of Tibbets Park about 2 months ago - just after a major snow. What a difference a couple of months can make. Spring is in full bloom all across Westchester and these photos are brought to you by the White Plains Beautification Foundation and mother nature. I was certainly not the only person interested in pictures that day. I ran into four other photographers taking advantage of the weather and the blooms. But let's face facts, we were all using our cameras as an "excuse" to stay in the park just a little bit longer then perhaps we should have. After all, it was a week day.
As I said before Tibbets Park lies along the island that divides the east and west sides of North Broadway in White Plains, NY. It's a small "linear park" where people can stroll, sit, relax and decompress. The park almost acts like a buffer zone separating the hub bub of the Manhattan-like downtown from the bulk of the residential housing of the downtown.
