Yet another successful Pumpkin Give-a-Way!

It's a mid-Saturday morning in Clintonville Ohio. Birds chirping, people jogging, farmers selling their wares on High St. Typical Saturday morning in Clintonville. Driving north on High, you notice something...different. The sounds of children laughing, trumpets blaring, and drums beating. You notice banners and people staring out their car windows, wondering what the heck is going on...You see hundreds of pumpkins, covering the lawns of Clintonville's streets, with gleeful children wandering from pumpkin to pumpkin, deciding which one will be taken home to meet a fate unknown. You think to yourself...

What on earth is this?

Answer? Its the annual Pumpkin Give-a-Way!

Every October, The Jackson Team and The Columbus Team from Keller Williams Capital Partners in Worthington Ohio, team up with partners and sponsors to put on this event each year, and this year was our best yet!!!!! Pumpkins are given in exchange for a canned food or cash donation, all of which are then donated to Neighborhood Services Incorporated, a Columbus Ohio Food Pantry dedicated to serving our local community. From 11AM-2PM, families, colleagues, friends, and strangers donated their food and finances to give towards the work done by Neighborhood Services, and pumpkins were flying off the ground!

In the end, we raised $569 and three carloads full of food, enough to feed needy Columbus families for weeks to come! Out of the 200 pumpkins we had ready to give away, only 4 remained by the end of the day, which also went to Neighborhood Services.
