Most of the lakes in this area average only 5-10ft! Our lake was man made for recreational use! It was made for you and I, not for flood control or for water use. We are dam contolled and stay full throughout the summer. We also have a full service marina with gas pumps!! Some lakes do not have a gas pumps and you have to haul your own gas!! A very cute and historical area. Fun little shops in the downtown area complete with book stores, crafts and "Sips" coffee shop. The newer downtown has a Walmart, Penny's, KMart, Peebles, Movie theater, gorcery and plenty of restaurants. Within a mile of Apple Valley is the beautiful Kokosing Gap Trail. A walking/biking trail the runs near the Kokosing river.
