National Women Build Week ~ Newark Ohio, Habitat for Humanity

This Saturday I will undertake a feat I have never attempted. I will join the "All-Female" construction crew to work on the Habitat for Humanity home at 430 Arlington Avenue in Newark.


National Women Build Week 2011 is April 30 through May 8, 2011. National Women Build Week challenges women to volunteer and work in their community in an effort to bring awareness of local housing needs, eliminate poverty housing and by building homes.


If you're a local woman and would like to volunteer, there's a free "How to Install Siding" Clinic at Lowe's of Heath on Friday at 1:00 (12:30 free lunch). Then on Saturday, we'll be at 430 Arlington Ave., from 9:00am-2:00pm.
