Alum Creek Dog Park

It was a beautiful day to visit the Alum Creek Dog Park, located in the Alum Creek State Park located in Delaware Ohio, just off of Old State and Hollenbeck Roads. Lots of pooches to pal around with!

The Alum Creek Dog Park is 4-acre free public dog park and includes fully fenced areas for small & large dogs and a dog beach at the lake. All areas have shade trees and benches (wish there were more people benches) Water is brought in by volunteers

In 2008 approximately 200,000 people visited this dog park. It has won 2 awards - a Superior Award from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association and Dog Fancy Magazine voted it as having the best dog beach in a dog Park.

The Alum Creek Dog Park was built by the Friends of Alum Creek Dog Park, beginning in 2004 with a grand opening in June 2006. The Friends Group provided most of the funds to build the dog park and continues to provide financial support for routine care and improvements. The Friends Group also provides day-to-day maintenance of the park and special project help.

Love the setting! One of the more scenic dog parks around. Waste bags are provided.

A wish item would be a on-site water pump and more park benches. The Friends Group is raising money to provide lighting to allow night time visits.
