It's been a pretty interesting weekend so far. Yesterday around 10:00 snow began to rapidly fall. I had heard the weather reports for the weekend about the snowstorm that was headed our way, but I didn't believe it. I mean lots of times the weather reporters are wrong, right? Well, this time they were right on! We even heard thunder and saw some lightening in the middle of the night last night. My husband cleverly called it a "thundersnow".
This morning I had to cancel a house showing as I was not even sure I could make it out of the drive, even after it was shoveled. My mom called about 12:30 in a panic because my brother discovered that there was an inch of water in the basement. She asked us to come over right away to see what the cause was and to help carry stuff upstairs. We tried our best to get there, she only lives 4 minutes away, but we couldn't drive up her road. The snow plows hadn't been there yet.
I had 2 open houses scheduled for tomorrow, but both sellers have cancelled. They can't make it out of their own drives to go over and shovel for the open house.
In the meantime, I've been able to get some much needed cleaning done in the office. I am now able to see my desk! Before it was covered with real estate paperwork. I now have a place to set my new laptop down.
Here are some snow pictures from today. It's still coming down!

There is a road out there somewhere!

Hopefully we will get unburied soon! How is the weather where you are?

We were supposed to get it here in Michigan also but I guess it's going to miss us now. Good luck digging yourselves out....
Although a little chilly today (68), we will be back in the 80's on Monday.
This is what March looks like in Naples. Wish you where here the weather is beautiful. :)
I'm on a ski trip in New Hampshire and there is so much snow here that you can barely see the street signs and you can't see the first floors of many homes when driving by (assuming they have a tunnel between the driveway and the front door or are entering through the garage). Wow, I've never seen so much snow!

Yes, New Hampshire has been creamed w/ snow. My Dad sent me this photo of the snow at their home before last weeks snow storms. Crazy snow, crazy cold..... Come to Florida
So much for global warming for a couple of weeks. The high gas prices must be working.
Bob- sounds like you got lucky that the snowstorm missed you. The sun is shining this morning and the snow has stopped.
Michael- thanks for tempting us with your beautiful florida picture.
Lisa- That much snow is unbeleiveable!
Eric- I thought we were supposed to be having global warming too. Mother nature must have a different idea.
