On my last post about the magnificent colors of our Gingko tree I received a comment from TLW about how she loves Lilacs. And, as it happens, this morning I went out in the back yard and took some photos of the blossoms on the Lilac bush. The fragrance that lilts on the air is so very relaxing and a true testament to the miracles of Mother Nature.
Last year I discovered another one of Mother Nature's miracle additions to the landscape. The Wiegala. This beautiful bush will be full of small, cup shaped fuschia flowers that have the sweetest smell. It's amazing that something sold as a "hedge bush" could smell SO good.
So, TLW, enjoy the lilacs, my friend. If I could send the whole bush to ya, I would.
Go ahead! Put your nose right up to that screen! Take a long deep sniff. Ahhhhhhhh - beautiful, aren't they?

Holy Toledo, I smell it!
Carol - I love the colors! I know it been awhile I have been busy with buyers. I love your pictures. Especially, the color of the flowers. I am ready for summer! I am ready for some warm weather and every now and then for some rain to cool it down during the summer month when it hot.
Cynthia - Take a deep whiff! LOL I stand out on the deck and just smell the air - so sweet with the lilac scent.
Cheryl - I am SO ready for all the flowers to bloom. Just a little reassurance that winter is over. Hope all is well!

I am looking forward to lilac here in Idaho, but right now it is pouring rain/sleet/snow. It can't decide. Nice photos. I will have to enjoy yours for now.
OMG! LILACS!!!!! I MISS LILACS SO MUCH!!! We have jasmine, which is blooming right now, how w/o any rain in the last month and a half is beyond me, but nothing beats lilacs! Those are beautiful! Thanks Carol!
