However I would like to talk about a very important program that I just learned of today and wanted to share it with those of Ohio. As of March 3, 2008 lenders from all over Ohio will be able provide affordable, fixed rate financing to low and moderate income homes in which at least one member must an active military personal or military veteran, firefighter, emergency medical technician - paramedic, health-care worker, police officer and teacher.
The current fixed rate for OHFA for 1st time homebuyers is 5.375%
The current rate for a buyer in The Ohio Heroes Program is 5.125%
