No, AR is not sending a representative, but will be a big part of the presentation about how to use the web to market more effectively and efficiently. I know that some of the readers are going to hear my reasons for Active Rain and I will therefor e be preaching to the choir as my dearly missed Baptist mother used to say. But since this blog goes out to other social networks, let me hit a few highlights, and thanks to Bob Stewart who called me when i emailed AR about this, and has some great dieas for the class. So here are a few of the highlights.
First, if you are new you pay a whopping $29 per month for a Rainmaker account. Golly Gee Wally said the Beav, that's a lot of money. Yes for the same amount of money you could buy a small ad in the local newspaper for only one issue, Second, how many impressions will you make in the newspaper? I have been blogging actively here since October 2008. I am consistently getting 16,000 views per month, and as I keep going with more blogs, use Localism, send to Facebook and other sites, I expect that to go up. So ask yourself, can I get say 250,000 impressions a year out of one 4x6 ad? Third, Active Rain also gives you a bonus. For no extra charge you are exposed to hundreds of blogs everyday where real estate people will be glad and proud to tell you their secrets, and what works. Try getting that from your office colleague. Fourth, and I can't say this enough, within five years Active rain will be the single most important real estate site out there. 153,234, but who's counting, real estate professionals can't be wrong. I love organic food, and I love organic Google juice.
Hopefully, tomorrow will bring us more Oklahomans who want to be a part of this network.
FYI, do you think this might be a pretty good referral network? Can you say referral? I knew you could.
