EXIT REALTY MARTIN & ASSOCIATES in Guthrie, Oklahoma, is working with The National Foundation of Transplants (NFT) in raising money to help a local Guthrie man receive a much needed liver transplant. We are sponsoring a golf tournament on October 24th, with all proceeds to go towards this need. A tournament flyer can be found on page 5 of this newsletter for information on Teams and Sponsorships. You can join EXIT Realty Martin & Associates by participating in the golf tournament, sponsoring a team or just making a donation.
What if you were living on borrowed time? Oral Semore is fighting for his life. In December, 2008, he was diagnosed with liver cancer. After undergoing 4 different types of chemotherapy, Oral was told by his doctors that he is a candidate for a liver transplant. Unfortunately, Oral's hope for a new life comes at a very high price. A liver transplant costs approximately $520,000. And that's only the beginning. For the rest of his life, he will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. The cost of post-transplant medications can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month, and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.
NFT is working with volunteers and supporters to help relieve the growing burden of expenses for Oral and his family. They have been assisting transplant patients with advocacy and fundraising support for 26 years. Your gift will enable NFT to provide Oral with the financial support he desperately needs. Please help by participating in the golf tournament or you can make a secure online donation by visiting www.transplants.org/donate/oralsemore. Thank you in advance, EXIT family, for your generous support. - Bo & Krista Martin
