What I am about to say I may have said similar things before but its worth reminding ourselves.
There are days when it takes every ounce of energy just to pick your face up off the pillow in the morning. Finding the motivation to do anything your responsible for is like trying to find a dry spot in the ocean. I honestly think this is the effects of going MUNDANE. If you get too caught up in the day to day, you can forget the things you enjoy....the small things that produce moments of true joy. The things that, if unnoticed, can make all the difference in the world.
Some people complain about a chaotic house in the morning, then they complain about the traffic on the way to work, then they get to work and complain because they have a stack of things to do. Or you could look at it this way.....Be grateful you have a family, some people are actually completely alone and would give anything to have just a human connection. When you sit in traffic, enjoy the fact that you have some extra time to yourself in the morning and that you have a car to drive. When you get to work, thank your lucky stars that you HAVE an income to take care of yourself and your family, realize that when you get to work and have a lot to do, that means you are busy, which means #1 your day will go by faster and #2 as long as you are busy then you know you still have a job.
Lets just enjoy things that still deserve to be enjoyed no matter how small they may seem. If you saved 5 dollars everyday from the age of 10 to the age of 30, you'd have over $36,000. So the little things add up, lets not discount them. Just you smiling at a passing stranger or holding someone's door open could change their day and alter future days as well. Don't discount the little things, they add up.
