Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday we lost an ICON, "Kodachrome Film" today we lost another ICON "Ed McMahon". We are sure a lot of you will remember the famous introduction "Here'ssssss Johnny" as Ed introduced Johnny Carson for years. You probably know Ed as the man giving away those poster size checks in the TV commercials.
Ed dies at 86 years old. Our condolences to the family.

Sorry to hear that Ed is no longer with us.
Ed & Johnny were so much fun to watch. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
This is the first I've heard of this. My condolences to all of his family and friends.
He was an American Icon no doubt. Will be missed.
I loved watching The Tonight Show when I was kid in the 80's. Ed, you will be missed.
I had the feeling eventually it would happen...he was pretty sick the last few months and at 86...it's hard to recover.
He will be missed by many. What a shame.
Ed was certainly a colorful character in his own right. Ed and Johnny will never be bettered by the likes of Conan O'Brien.
Wow I am sure that his family is both heart broken for their loss and relieved that he does not have to deal with the pain anymore.

I actually got to shake his hand at Nicky Blair's in LA about 20 years ago. I felt honored.
Late night just hasn't been the same. Jay Leno was good but not up to the same standards and Johnny and Ed...and Conan, oh well.
I felt sad when I heard the news. Ed and Johnny were a mainstay of mine when I worked night shift and got home just in time to watch them. I was also a bit shocked to realize he was only 20 years older then me.
He will definitely be missed. His face and voice were well known and will be for many years to come.
I grew up watching Ed and Johnny but never did get to go to the live airing of the show. Of course, now everything is taped.
I've missed Ed and Johnny for many years. I grew up watching them as a young tyke, high school, college, and post college. There will probably never be two like them again. I kind somewhat blame them for me choosing San Diego to live back in 1993, because I remembered all the times when the San Diego Zoo animals were on the show.
