In 1971, a gentleman named Rocky had a vision of owning a barber shop. Not just a barber shop, Rocky had a vision of being the choice of gentlemen when the time came, as the saying went back then, "to get their ears lowered". The Gentlemans Choice was born, opening its doors in the popular indoor mall at Highway 10 and Steeles Ave. in Shopper's World plaza.

Rocky's son Rinaldo, known as Rino to everyone, joined him in 1983 and soon after they were joined by Gino in 1992, offering beard trimming, face & head shaving as well as hair cuts to their loyal clientele in the eight chair 900 sq. ft. shop along with their six long term and devoted employees. Ladies, don't let the name fool you, need a cut, need some colour, come on in, we can help you.

Rocky still to this day, makes appearances at The Gentlemens Choice and services the clients; new as well as his faithful followers.

While the location and the outstanding service is the same a few things have changed over the years,Rino & Gino are now the principal partners of The Gentlemens Choice although Rocky is lovingly kidded as thinking he is still the boss in charge.

In addition to haircuts,in 2009 it is quite popular for men to colour their hair to hide that silver cap. However, men do not like it to be obvious and so The Gentlemens Choiceuses the technique of grey blending; covering only 20% the first time, then 40% and so on until it is fully covered.

Colouring for men today is huge and with the process taking only an extra ten minutes, only you and The Gentlemens Choice needs to know!

After decades of servicing men, very recently in May 2009, Gino and Rino along with Rino's niece Melissa , took another huge step and opened Studio North Salon and Spa, for both men and women, located at 11670 Hurontario St. in the north end of the City of Brampton.

With approx. 1200 sq. Ft., Studio North Salon and Spa, houses 4 colour stations, 6 cutting stations and 3 wash bays for hair treatments and an aesthetician centre that offers waxing, micro dermabrasion, facials, relaxation massages and full bridal packages.

So whether you are in the south end or the north end of the City of Brampton, Rino & Gino and family have your beauty needs covered or uncovered depending on your personal requirements, at either The Gentlemens Choice or Studio North Salon and Spa.
