Firework Regulations For The Brampton, Ontario, Canada
If this is the May long weekend than tonight, May 23,2011 is the night to watch the firework displays and for some people people to set a few off themselves!
Here in the City of Brampton, Ontario, Canada there are a few precautions to be aware from the city's By-law Enforcement department. They advise us that to hold personal fireworks displays on your own property, it must be at least 60 feet wide at the front (side facing the street). The city strictly prohibits fireworks on school properties, parks and on any city land such as roads and sidewalks.
The City of Brampton firefighters encourage residents to go to professional firework displays rather than set their own off, due to the number of injuries each year.
However, there are no City hosted firework displays planned this Victoria Day in the City of Brampton.
