Major Change to Markham Garbage, Waste, Recycling and Organics Collection in 2011

Effective January 1, 2011, Markham's garbage, waste, recycling and organics collection service is changing from a 5-day collection schedule to a 4-day collection schedule.

There will no longer be collection of garbage, waste, recycling and organics on Mondays. Almost half of Markham homes will be assigned a new collection day.

All affected homes will receive a door hanger indicating their new collection day.

Watch for the new two-year 2011/2012 collection schedule that will be mailed to all Markham homes in December 2010.
