We are all familiar with the numbers that we use on a daily basis. I'd like to be more familiar with a few higher ones, but that's beside the point of this blog post. I had never really thought about this until a couple of days ago when my dad sent me an email containing a power point presentation. It's a little odd that I had never before thought to think about this subject, because this is exactly the type of thing that I can waste many fruitless hours wondering about. In a way I'm lucky, the answer to this mystery was presented to me before I had even wondered about it in the first place.
How did the numerals we use on a day to day basis take their present form? The power point presentation (turned into a video for the purpose of blogging) presents a pretty strong theory on how they took shape. What do you think? Is this a plausible theory? I'm kind of leaning towards it being so.Forgive me if you have seen this already, it has probably made a few rounds on the internet by now
