Travel south on Trafalgar Road from the Queen Elizabeth Way and you will enter into Old Oakville, an area of character homes on mature tree lined streets. Many historic homes are located between Lakeshore Road and the shores of Lake Ontario. Downtown Oakville offers upscale boutiques, world class restaurants, century old churches, cosy cafes, Oakville Harbour and much more. The price of real estate in Old Oakille ranges from $500,000 + to multi - million dollars. Most of the homes in Old Oakville are older detached but there is also a selection of upscale townhomes and condos. Because this area is one of the more expensive in Oakville to live in, there are very few first time buyer homes available. Public schools located in this area are Brantwood and New Central.
