Time to turn off the tap

It's November 2nd, 2009 and many people over the week end have been putting things away for the winter. Yes!! I said it, the "W" word. Winter is coming soon.

I took the time this week-end to put all our summer things away, get the pool winterized, put the patio set away, hide the lawnmower and all those things we don't use during the winter months. There you go!! All set for the cold winter months. If you are a skiier then it's great! The skis & snowboard (for my son, not me) is ready and waiting near the garage door.

One more thing that many people will overlook or forget is the tap for the water outside, side, front or back of the house. Make sure to turn off your tap because you could be faced with a not so nice surprise in Spring. A frozen pipe can be a challenge, with the cost of a plumber to come fix it and also water damage inside your house. Make sure to also disconnect any hose attached to the tap.

You can also look at my Video Blog on it if you want.

Have a great day! and enjoy the sunshine here in Ottawa
