Selling where you Live

In January 2008 my partner and I took a risk and moved further West than we ever thought we would.

Not that we moved out of our City, we just gravitated into a potential "up and coming" neighbourhood.

As a Real Estate Sales person in the City of Toronto, I feel strongly that agents should be promoting all of our wonderful neighbourhoods. However, we tend to "farm" certain areas more so than others.

Well, we moved from King and Bathurst to Queen and Brock, otherwise known as Parkdale. To some, this area is a tad "dodgy" and unpredictable. To me and my other half, it's now home. And we LOVE it!!

Our city is growing everyday and as people move further out of the core, they gravitate towards the East and West ends of the City. We can all agree that the gentrification of Leslieville and Riverdale has shown a spike in the Real Estate world and we're hoping that the same will occur for Parkdale, Brockton Village, Bloorcourt Village and the Junction.

Therefore, be a supporter of new neighbourhoods, be involved in your community and you'll see what the next "Sought after Neighbourhood" will be!

Cheers!

Amy
