Lucy Maud Montgomery at Home in Leaskdale: A Centennial Celebration 1911 -2011
Leaskdale will be the centre of the hub of the activety happening this weekend as the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society Of Ontario (LMMS) celebrates the arrival of Maud in Leaskdale. Visitors are anticipated from around the world for this 3 day event including fans, writers, collectors and scholars.

The Arnold Hodgkins Art Show and Sale
An Opportunity to view and purchase the works of Arnold Hodgkins at the Historic Leaskdale Church, 11850 Regional Road 1, Leaskdale, Ontario. Hodgkins later works were influenced by the group of seven and his Deerfoot Gallery was officially opened in 1965 by A.J. Casson. His Painting of Maud was commissioned by the LMMS and can be seen on their web site @ resources/collections.

" The purpose of the Society is to bring together people who share an interest in the heritage of Lucy Maud Montgomery, particularly as it relates to her life in Leaskdale."
The Society owns the Historic Leaskdale Church (the former St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church where Ewan Macdonald was the minister from 1910 to 1926) and operates the Leaskdale Manse National Historical Site, a museum which is open to the public. Both are used to used to showcase the life of Montgomery in Leaskdale.
