This is the 40th year the UCW have presented this annual fundraiser here in Uxbridge and it is just around the corner. The tour takes place on Saturday, June 6th from 10am to 5pm.

You begin at the church where you can purchase your pass for $15, which includes the map and a brief description of the special features of each home. Also, refreshments, (tea and cookies) are included in your pass purchase and washrooms will be available at the church all day.
You can pick up your pass in advance at the Blue Heron Books or Shoppers Drug Mart before June 6th, on the day of the tour you can purchase your pass at any of the homes as well as the church on 1st Avenue
This year there are seven wonderful homes to tour at your own pace.
More information on the homes to be toured this year will be available on my other blog early next week

good morning Kathy,
It sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day....with all of the homes I go through, I still love house tours; especially if they are heritage homes.
Jo
Jo - They always have a very nice cross section of homes ... one example for this year is a home built in 1876 by Thomas Boyd. The current owners have decorated the home with warm heritage colours to compliment their antique furnishings.
Kathy - the tour sounds wonderful! I love to go to the house tour every Christmas put on by the Junior League in my area. If feeds into my love of Christmas and my love of homes. I've just been asked to put my garden on a tour for a local church. If I can get my husband on board it should be fun.
Janice -We have had the pleasure of having our present gardens on tour three times in the last 6 years and our home in Uxbridge on this Particular tour in the mid 80's. ... Yes it was a lot of fun, especially listening to some of the conversations of people who did not realize we were the owners. ... But don't kid yourself it can also be a lot of work
Kathy - I know you are right about the work. We did it for the local hospital a few years ago .... that's why I'm hesitating. But as the past chair of the hospital garden tour I feel sorry for the committee too :)
Janice - if it is a worthy cause the work becomes a light load
Congrats on a wonderful project! It sounds amazing.
Tara - There are a lot of deserving groups around Uxbridge I am just sorry that I don't always get their fundraising information in time to post about it.
PS Welcome to AR
