I've been on Active Rain for a couple of months now, I joined about 3 or 4 months ago, but just now really began to see the benefits of using all the features to my advantage.

If you're newer to Real Estate, and find that your pipeline has started to shrink based on the many variables that make up the Real Estate profession, I HIGHLY recommend reading Broker Bryant's Real Estate Ramblings. I have found this blog to be the best source for practical, real life information that can make a huge difference in the size of your pipeline,
and more importantly, to the amount of listings you'll receive.
Active Rain is a powerful, powerful tool, and remember, it WORKS, if you WORK IT.

Alecia, one of the things I've noticed is that AR is good for promoting a worthy cause, if you link the article to localism.

AR is pretty addictive. It's like nicotine or caffeine coming through the keys or from the screen. It's food for the brain instead of putting my brain on cruise control in front of the TV.
Everything you say is true. I find that the people are great, the web presence is vastly improved and as someone said, it is fun and very informative.
