Geting a Chandelier Crystal Clear!

Have a beautiful but dirty chandelier? Light fixtures can be a focal point and beautiful feature for a dining room, but when dusty and spotted, they are a eyesore not a selling feature! Cleaning a chandelier can be a chore if each crystal is removed, cleaned and replaced. We've used this cleaning product in homes with great success and recommend it!

chandelier cleaner

Cover the area below the chandelier. Using a duster, remove cobwebs and excessive dust. Turn off the lights before spraying and be sure bulbs are cool. Spray well with the cleaner -- allowing it to drip on the towels beneath the fixture.

I would also like to know where to get it.  Thanks for the tip!

Thanks Margaret.  I like to share product tips in my design and decor newsletter.  Will look for this product.

Hi Margaret, I've been in quite a few period homes lately that have these enormous chandeliers so this will be useful info. Like others wanting to know above, where did you get this product?

not my post to answer this question BUT I wanted to look it up myself.    It sounds like a product to keep in my cleaning supply bucket

Do you have to wipe the cystals at all or do they just drip dry and that's it?  This sounds like a great product.  I'll have to see if I can find it.  Thanks for sharing, Margaret.

I purchased it at a local lighting store that specializes in light fixtures only.  I have never looked at it at Lowe's or other big box stores.  I do remove as much dust as possible before hand and cobwebs.  When I spray it - I saturate the crystals until the liquid is dripping off a little.  We've used it on a wide variety of contemporary and crystal chandeliers and it is a real timesaver!

Another tip for cleaning chandeliers to help with this one is to put on a pair of white cotton gloves (new unused gardening gloves are quite cheap) and spray the gloves with the cleaner, then simply rub the crystals with your gloved hands, it makes the job go faster and easier to get all the edges !

This is so cool - thanks Margaret - I'm trying it out on my own first!

Good morning. We do not believe if we do not live and work according to our belief. Help me! Help to find sites on the: Unique shower curtains. I found only this - leopard shower curtain. I love the shower curtain, I would definitely keep it. Wondering what would it be like to snuggle on a shower curtain during in the middle of the morning. With respect , Johanna from Vanuatu.
