Are you looking for a place to stretch your legs in the Hart Neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon? One of the things I love about Beaverton, Oregon is that we have plenty of parks and open greenspaces for families, plants and animals to enjoy.

The Hart neighborhood is no exception to this rule with its offering of Brookhaven Park, it offers many parks and walking trails that give you a chance to stretch your legs. Not something you would think you would get to do in a neighborhood, but here behind the houses, without being seen is a great park with some awesome walking trails with nature all around.

On this day we got to see lots of wildlife including robins, ducks, a hawk and even a squirrel. Now we were a little disappointed that we didn’t see a beaver. Always hope to see them, doesn’t happen often, but from time to time we do catch a glimpse of one in our wonderful parks in Beaverton. Usually we catch a site of nutria instead, which is a large rodent that was brought to America in hopes to sell its fur. (For the record, a beaver is also a rodent)

Now, one thing I love about Beaverton residences is their love of their community! All throughout our walk we saw many other families walking their dogs, but the pride in the community shined through as we never once saw any sign of dogs. (You know what I mean) At each entrance there are small plastic bags for picking up after your dog. Clearly everyone who owns a dog in the Hart Neighborhood uses these free bags and I thank them for that.

So, if you are looking for a place to stretch your legs in the Hart Neighborhood of Beaverton, Oregon, I suggest you checkout Brookhaven Park, it is well worth it.
