Where is the shortest river in the world?

OK, you have read about Devil’s Lake in my blog before, as my family used to own a cabin on the lake for many, many years, but did you know that the lake is connected to the world’s shortest river? Yep, the river goes a whopping 120 feet from the lake to the Pacific Ocean.

The D River is the world’s shortest according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Now, I have to say after water skiing and fishing on the lake all those years and seeing the outlet to the river, I didn’t know until I read a sign on Hwy 101 the other day. Oh, the things you learn when you pay attention to your surroundings.
