Beautiful Pacific City Oregon is home to the Dory fleet. This is one beach town off the beaten track. Talk about lovely and friendly, you just won't find better people anywhere. Talk about the views. Really you have everything you want in PC. Beautiful river, ocean, beaches! If you seek recreation - you'll find it here.
Tierra Del Mar is just north of Pacific City proper. This photo was taken with my cell phone in the summer of 2006. Just around the corner is Tierra Del Mar and just north of that is Sandlake. Many people come to Sandlake to recreate with their ATV (all terrain vehicles) and for Dune Buggy races. My brother-in-law has raced there many times.
My family and I spent Tuesday, January 23rd 2007 at the beach. It was warm enough for us not to wear coats or wind blockers for much of the day. We searched for rocks and played in the waves for a while. OUr 2 year old had a blast playing in the "watty" while the surf came in and went out. We did get wet and that was when we called it. Below are a couple of photos I took:
Above is the beach near the end of the day. Below is the sunset with Cape Kiwanda in the distance.

Great pictures, Brenda! Can there be anything more picturesque than the coastline of the Pacific Northwest?
Wow! That 1st picture is fantastic! Did you take it? Is it along Hwy 1?
Incredible pictures! My oldest daughter says when she "gets older" she wants to move to Oregon. She wants to live in a state where it's cold and it rains a lot and she thinks Oregon fits the ticket. I'll have to show her the pictures when she gets home from school.
