I started this Blog in 2007 to give the public information they may be seeking on the Columbia Gorge area, homes for sale, the real estate market in general here, and other local events and news. I have lived here in the gorge since 1985, first in Stevenson, Washington then in Hood River since 1993. I have been a licensed REALTOR® in the gorge since 1993 and have watched the market go through many interesting and dramatic changes here over the years. There are currently 200 homes between $100,000 up to $300,000 here in the gorge including all towns in both Washington and Oregon. This is a great time for first time home buyers. There's still time to buy a home and take advantage of the up to $8,000 federal tax credit. To take part in this you must close on the home by Dec. 1, 2009.
