Did anyone get the chance to see the article about Fannie Mae going into the rental business?
In a recent article by MSNBC.COM, thousands of borrowers on the verge of foreclosure will have an option to rent their homes from Fannie Mae.
They are calling it a "Deed for Lease" program, which will allow borrowers to transfer ownership to Fannie Mae and sign a one year lease with a month-to-month extension there after.
From the practical side, I agree with the program. It stabilizes neighborhoods, eliminates some foreclosures, and keep some families in their homes during the uncertain times.
I did a presentation yesterday for forty agents. I told them we need to dig deep and think outside the box to stabilize the economy and keep our jobs fruitful.
It is up to us to dig deep for ourselves and our customers. I support this idea. Do you?
