Have You Been To Agate Ridge Vineyard In Eagle Point Oregon?

Southern Oregon grape vines by Sklimke photo courtesy of flickr.comSouthern Oregon is filled with wonderful wineries and other destinations for us "foodies" to enjoy. Agate Ridge Vineyard in Eagle Point is one that is a bit off the beaten path, but certainly worth a visit to experience their wines while seeing some majestic scenery. They have turned out quite a few worthy award winning wines, including three Silver Medal winners just recently received at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

In town and want to try some of Agate Ridge Vineyard's delicious wines? Cork's Wine Shoppe & Barin Downtown Medford next to the Ginger Roger's Craterian Theater in Vogel Plaza is featuring the Agate Ridge Vineyard wines that Kiley Evan's poured at their recent Winemaker's Night, and you may enjoy them as the featured flight (giving you 4 pours vs. the standard three) throughout the month of February. And don't forget - TGIMCIO..."Thank Goodness It's Monday Cork's is Open 4-8 p.m.", although many Downtown Medford locations are closed.

Prefer to visit the vines while tasting? Check out Agate Ridge Vineyard's Fireside Fridays (check their calendar to verify the dates) or the Summer Concert Series that kicks off again June 5, 2009 with The Rogue Suspects.

See you out there!

What is it about a vinyard that is so enticing? This looks beautiful. I keep hearing about Oregon wines and I don't believe I've had one. I need to look into this!

Sounds great.  Might have to trek out there.

Vicki - Oregon is know for her world renown Pinot Noir, but Southern Oregon is hitting the map with all sorts of varieties. Definitely come on out and check us out! February 14th is our Sesquicentennial, too, so we can celebrate her 150th birthday with some good Oregon wines on Valentine's Day.

Hi Tony & Libby - We're definitely worth a visit when you want to see what the other end of this great state is up to.
