Fred - As cold as it is, there is a certain beauty in the Winter Season.
We didn't get the freezing fog up here, but we saw the pictures on the news and boy was it beautiful. Looked like something from a movie it was so perfect.
Good Morning Fred....Great pictures! Baby it's cold outside!!!! Brrrrrrr!!! Bring on the spring!
Jason - There definitely is beauty in the winter season. Not much snow around here but I thought these pictures showed what it is like when it gets cold.
Todd - You got all of the snow, you don't need freezing fog also. I think the second one would work for the backdrop of a horror film.
Cecily - You called me Baby. lol Spring is coming, but you have to give winter its time.
Hi Fred, Neat pictures! I love the frosted tree...I don't get to experience that much here in Georgia!!
Have a great day,
Anne Rains
You are right Anne, not too many frosty trees there. This one is a Smoke Tree and the frosty elements are the blossoms from the tree.
I don't know Fred, it was 12 degrees when I pottied my puppies in Georgia this morning and I didn't like it.
Beautiful tree though.
Now Tammy, that is cold. Hope the puppies didn't freeze.
Fred, one thing for sure, I do not miss that area of the US at this time of the year.
Awww Danny, you can't enjoy our temperate summers, if you can't enjoy our temperate winters too.
Fred, the pictures are gorgeous, I LOVE TREES!!
Thanks Marchel, here is another one I took that day.
Hi Fred...All three photos are great.
I love seeing the sun shine on frosted trees, shrubs, and grasses, especially in pictures!
Kate
These are awesome photos. They both look like something from a fantasy movie. Though they do make me appreciate being in a warm house.
Thanks Kate, it was cold out when I took those, but they turned out nice.
Rich - They are kind of ethereal, aren't they.
Hi Fred, Really nice photos. What kind of tree is that? It looks like someone took one of those cans of frost (do you know the one I'm talking about?) and sprayed the tree. Really, Really nice.
Hi Lisa, that is a Smoke Tree and those are its blooms. Leaves fell off but the blooms didn't.
Wow Fred, Truly gorgeous pictures of winter. Thanks for sharing!
Love the smoke tree, and the "moodiness" of the fog shot! My son went to school in Corvalis for a year, he really loved Oregon. We went twice, and really liked it too, but I don't think I could handle that kind of humidity long term...
Sandy - Your welcome. Don't suppose you get much of this where you live, do you?
Cheryl - You do get acclimated. Of course, I was born here so it comes easy to me.
