Pictures, edits and what the heck is this?

Hi everyone,

I took some pictures before sunset and then did some weird type things with my Adobe Photoshop Elements just to see what would happen. So, I am asking for feedback. What do you think of the pictures and/or the edits?

I tried the paint bucket feature and got some strange colors. Take a look at this next set of canna lilies.canna 2

Next I took a day lily and did some other colors. Kind of silly looking.Day Lily

My last colorization. Very strange.color sun

Please let me know what you think of these effects. I don't know how to work the photoshop very well, and elements is a lower end program. I will keep experimenting, maybe something will be good. I kind of like this last one, it is almost an abstract.....sort of. (Carolyn, how do you like the eye candy?)

Wow! I don't know how I missed this post. Fred, very nice try with the colorization. You should keep at it and also use the help files to walk you through a "how to add text." You could colorize your shots and turn them into posters or icons for you blog posts. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. Maybe I can help you fool around with posting a few more tutorials. Let me know what it is you would like to do. Which version are you using?

Carolyn - It is Photoshop Elements, not quite the full program but a heck of a lot cheaper. I suppose it would help if I read the instructions instead of just jumping out into it, but remember, I am just a guy.

Too funny! Read the instructions, sweetie (LOL). I don't have elements, but I will look into it. You can do a lot with colorization! Very cool stuff... :-)

I am pretty certain that there is something on the Y chromosome that stops guys from reading instructions. Pretty certain it is passed through from the DAD genes. Elements is the lower end of Photoshop but quite affordable.
