I think this is the
second biggest park in Tigard
behind
Cook Park, but I do
say I love Summer
Lake Park in the Summer Lake
Neighborhood. Mainly because it isn’t the drive that it is to
Cook
Park, and
you don’t have to fight the traffic of the high school. If you
miss-time that
and you could be stuck at the light for 30 minutes.
Summer Lake Park is a park that has a little of something for everyone. You have lots of wildlife to take pictures of. (It was a little dark on this day to get shots of the geese) You have nice playground equipment and plenty of walking trails around the park. The ducks and geese aren’t shy about taking a free meal when it is offered to them in the form of bread crumbs.
There are places to sit and enjoy the view, have a picnic, or just read a book. This is a park I would check out if you are in the Summer Lake Neighborhood and looking for a place to relax. Plus, maybe while you are there you can check out some of the homes with a view of the lake. (You never know when one of these lake view homes in Tigard will go on the market!)
