What to become a member of the Knight of Columbus?

I wanted to send the broadcast out to all the Active Rain members who wish to become a member of the Knight's of Columbus Fraternity......a choice I have not thought twice about since I joined earlier this year.

Below is the local St. Joseph's Church in Downingtown order I belong and would like to hear how many other Catholic men would like to join me.....there are orders throughout the area, State, Country and World.

Membership

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.

All Knights band together to support family life, to serve the universal Church and our home parish, St. Joseph, and to be active members of our community by coming to the aid of those most in need. The Knights of Columbus was formed in 1883 by Father Michael McGiveny to answer the needs of Catholic men suffering from extreme prejudice in under employment and for their faith.
