The Realtor Reviews...Taste Of Portugal BBQ, East Stroudsburg, PA

If you blink, you might miss it but you won't want to as Taste of Portugal BBQ restaurant, located on Rt. 209 (Milford Road) in East Stroudsburg (heading North - toward Bushkill on Rt. 209), is as good as authentic Portuguese BBQ and food gets. Using an authetic charcoal grill, the flavor pours out of chicken, ribs and other culinary delights. There are many seafood choices available such as paella, calamari, shrimp as well as a good selection of appitizers such as the Chorizo served flaming (look out!). Taste of Portugal does not have a liquor license (a shame) but is BYOB, so bring a bottle of either your favorite wine, or just an ordinary bottle then order the sangria and mix it to kick it up a notch (you'll be glad you did!). I ordered the BBQ chicken and pork ribs combo which is a lot of foor for a reasonable price $18.99. You get a choice of two sides with your entree as well so more than likely, you are going to be taking a "doggy bag" home with you but you certainly will be eating your leftovers while only giving doggy a taste to tease him (LOL). The ambiance is only ok, (they could stand to spruce the place up a bit) but the pride in their cooking is evident. Put it all together (great food, reasonable price) and Taste of Portugal BBQ restaurant gets a solid A rating from me who has had the pleasure of dining here at least a half dozen times but never got around to doing a review till now (usually because I am too full after eating here - LOL).
