Here it is our first " Winter Wonderland Snowfall " that special snowy day when magic happens. Layers of glistening flakes accumulate by inches on everything in sight. It is like living inside one of those winter snow globes. it is truly a " Currier and Ives " moment. Nothing dramatic...simply a pretty picture.
I just captured these photos of the horse pasture and woods across my driveway, such a tranquil scene. Hope you enjoy..the photos of our beginning winter season in Western Pa.

June - Absolutely stunning pictures! Winter can be such a beautiful time of the year. Time to break out the snowsuit and long underwear:)
June, beautiful ppictures and in a way I wish we had at least some snow in Texas. I know that winters can be long though because when my wife was in Anesthesia School in Minneapolis we froze our tails off...For months! Thanks for the great ppictures!
June, those pictures are gorgeous! I am NOT looking forward to the snow (still a southern CA girl at heart though I am now in Spokane, WA) but I LOVE the great pictures that the snow makes! I have found that I really enjoy the snowy scenery best when sitting near the fire, curled up with a good book and something warm to drink. OR when I go out in it because I choose to not because I HAVE to! I hope that you are able to stay inside!
June, These photos are stunning! I'm jealous, you have winter! We've had NOTHING here yet!

OK...all we've had is the cold, cold weather and a few flurries. In due time...
Beautiful pics.
Beautiful Photo,, I love the snow, we have had a few flurries in Ky but nothing like this..I do hope we at least have some snow for Christmas, It has been several years since we have had any snow on Christmas. thanks for sharing
Those first 2 shots are beautiful. I love looking at snow scenes. But I'm glad I lke in Florida. I like to look at the photos from my warm home =)
Hi Everyone. Winter in Pa is beautiful....just enough.. we may get a few really bad days due to the lake effects in locations close to us but fortunately it whizzes past us. I love palm trees, the ocean and warm year around weather. Growing up we spent a lot of time at my grandmother's home in Florida..but I really would miss the seasons. Each season has a beauty all its own.
Russell, I think Minnesota gets hit a lot harder with cold and winter than we do.
Until about January as long as the roads are clear, the fireplace is a blazing, a hot cup of cocoa and Christmas music is in the air....It's a fantasy world....after January...it's anticipation toward an early spring. Thanks to all for your comments I wish I would have had more time to take more photos ...it was an exceptional day
Gee I am so not ready for winter, looks like that snow should have melted quickly.
Hi Mary Thanks for the visit. The really great thing about this first real snow fall is that it was wet snow that clung to everything except the roads. It lasted for a day ..but they said more was on the way this Friday. I am trying to stay positive as a Realtor showing houses in the winter can be tricky.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. And just in time to kick off the holidays!!!

Oh my, what beautiful pictures! I just love the scenery that snow creates ~ but I hate driving in it! We had a bit of snow today in Lancaster, and it was lovely. I hope we have a white Christmas!
