16th year of Perkasie hosting Perkasie Olde Towne, Saturday May 17

This Saturday, Perkasie will be hosting its 16th Olde Town which actually was renamed Hot Ribs Cool Jazz three years ago. You can come out to Perkasie and listen to some Jazz, have some hot ribs and participate in other activities.

Contestants for the ribs will start cooking as early as 7am. Tickets will go on sale at 10am for the rib sampling and the actual sampling will be at 12 noon.

There is also a Cool kids hot spot which will have activities for children between 10am and 4m. Some of the scheduled activities are tie dying, puppet and jewelery making and the opening of the carousel from noon to 5pm.

Music from Pennridge High School Jazz Ensemble and other special guest will provide nonstop music from 11am to rpm.

There also will be free wagon rides, a section for Artists to display their work, historical walking tours and more. Come on out and enjoy the day in downtown Perkasie. For more information visit the Perkasie Olde Town website.
