Due to extreme cold, windy and wet weather, Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-Day opening ceremonies and the first day of walking scheduled for Friday has been canceled, organizers said Thursday.
Organizers noted their main priority was to ensure the safety and welfare of the participants. After consultation with medical and safety experts, a delay of the event was determined to be the most appropriate action.
Organizers are now trying to determine if the event will proceed on Sunday or if further modifications are needed.
