It's official: The moment New York Mets fans have dreaded for months has finally come to fruition.
Mets fans are going to need to find something that will keep them sane for the next six to night days, as their two biggest rivals, the Phillies and Yankees, square off in their nightmare World Series.
They should avoid listening to the radio, watching television, reading the newspapers and scaling high bridges. A trip to Kazakhstan, where baseball isn't exactly the national pastime, could be the best and only solution. Everywhere else, the ghosts of Jimmy Rollins and Derek Jeter might follow.
The Phillies (93-69) finished 23 games ahead of the team they were supposed to battle for the National League East title.
The Phillies average starting salary is 5 Mil. and the Yankee average players salary is 15 mil.
Go Phillies!
