Camp Dragonfly, Schuylkill County, PA

Camp Dragonfly, a weekend bereavement camp for children ages 6 to 12, is still accepting applications for youngsters at either of its two locations, Camp Swatara, near Pine Grove, and Camp Hebron, Halifax. Camp Hebron also offers programming for teens ages 13-15.

The Camp Dragonfly effort is slated for May 29-31. It’s free and geared to children who have experienced the death of a family member.

The group is also looking for volunteers to help at camp, such as a BIG BUDDY. Big Buddy is paired with a child to provide companionship, support and supervision throughout the weekend.
