I have come up with a new marketing idea for getting people to attend my open house when it rains.

I am sitting at my computer and looking outside and it is raining. I have an open house today and from past experience I do not expect many people . I like to be optimistic but this is in a 55plus community where I have not had much luck even in good weather.

I will still have to spend two hours there as I have advertised and you never know when someone will come or who the buyer will be.

I have not seen people advertise an open house with 'rain date' . But that is a thought.

Another idea I have is from now on I will advertise, ' free umbrella if it rains.limited supply.' I can buy some inexpensive ones from a catalog. I will look into this.
