Allentown, PA continues to move in a positive direction in bringing the downtown area back to life. The latest major addition to Hamilton Street (the main thoroughfare) is the Allentown Brew Works.
The grand opening is scheduled for June 15th. This brew works is owned and managed by the same incredibly enticing Bethlehem Brew Works (Bethlehem, PA).
The Allentown Brew Works is located in the 800 block of Hamilton Street ( 8th and Hamilton), a site formerly housed by Harold's furniture.
The new facility will be three floors including both indoor and outdoor dining. (Das Biergarten).
The food is expected to be typical casual dishes as in Bethlehem, but of course the real reason to go to a Brew Works is ..... the BREW !
Lagers, German darks, Belgian wheat's (witbier), Porters, etc...will all be awaiting our arrival. As with most micro brews, there will be seasonal beers offered as well. Nothing like a Belgian style that hit's 9% alcohol level to make you say "WOW - THAT's GREAT".
Approximately four years in the making due to the many renovations required to the building... I CANNOT WAIT to visit what is expected to be a unique experience.
I hope everyone has a chance to visit (I have NO personal gain nor relationship to this business), but as always......drink sensibly and don't drink and drive.
See you all at the Brew Works... I'll be the guy in the tie with a big smile asking if you need any assistance regarding Real Estate :^)
Check out Bethlehem to get an 'idea' of what's to come.....
The beer........
