Climate Change Is Messing With My Chickens

Around Easter we rescued 4 baby chicks. Our chicks did what all living things do and grew to full size. So we have been enjoying the company of our 4 hens. Now I know its hard to believe that chickens can actually be fun to keep, but just like dogs and cats they do make cool pets. We consider them pets with benefits.

See everyday we go out and feed and hang out with them twice a day. Once they got used to the routine they started to interact with us. We go out, they come over to greet us. They take food out of our hands. They follow us around and always leave us fresh eggs. We have 4 hens so everyday we get 4 fresh brown eggs. For anyone who might have missed it the eggs are the benefits I was referring to. Then today I went to pick up our eggs and found this.

Go figure, all I can think of is that climate change must be messing with my chickens.
