I'm worn out...

But it's that good sort of worn out. I have had an exhausting few days of non-stop running that comes from working both buyers and sellers and trying to give every one of them 110%. I've had a closing, an Open House, a listing received by my AR exposure (beautiful house!!), 2 out of town clients flown in, a weekend of whirlwind home tours and last minute dashes to make appointments, three contracts written, one negotiated fiercely, one a push-over and one a last minute no show for the signing (I still haven't heard from that guy...maybe tomorrow). I love this job!!!
I got the final final final copy of a contract today, after much wrangling and way too much faxing, and I can't wait to get that one closed!! I'm praying the rest of the way is downhill, but we still have inspections. It's a new construction...how much could be wrong with a new construction? We'll see Monday. Tonight I got the lay-down go ahead on an investment property. I think the seller has been listening to too much of the "buyer's market" news too. We'll see if we get surprised during inspections, but I think it was a great buy!! The last was a last minute no call, no show to sign the contract. I hope it was a work emergency and he just couldn't make it to a phone to call. The jury's still out on that one.
Overall, I'm exhausted, but I couldn't be happier with this last week. The best thing is listening to my clients praise my efforts on their behalf. I work hard to make them happy and to make things as easy as possible for them. I know that I do a good job, but I also know that the praise and glory go to the One who gives me everything out of His grace and I praise Him for it. There are so many times that I have taken for granted the blessings He's poured out on me. Not this time!!

I am worn out, but I know that all things are possible in Him who strengthens me.

Until next time...

Andrew,

Hang in there, we are all in the same shoes. I love this job too :)) There is always another and better day.

I'm worn out also, but for a very different reason. Other then a couple of phone calls I haven't done any real estate for a few days. My wife is camping with our church youth group so I'm home taking care of my 4 and 1 year olds. Wow, I'm beat. I can't wait to get back to work. :)

Yes - in our market the REALTORS are in a bit of a feast of famine mode right now so as tired as I am - I'm going to try to enjoy every moment of my "feast" and be grateful for the business!

Thanks for the comments, you two.

Haha Johnnie, you are a real estate dad too!! I wrote a blog about that the other day. Hang in there and don't burn the house down while she's gone!!

You know what, Susan, I think it's only going to get better!! Thanks for the comment.

Wow Andrew with all of that activity I say God is definately on Your Side!!!

Thanks Diane. He is...there's no doubt that I am walking in His favor right now.

You've mentioned some great reasons to be worn out. But I love the point you made in your closing statement. It tells me you definitely know where the source comes from. Best to you.

Thanks Derrick, best to you too!!
