How are You Conserving Energy?

More and more blogs and advertising come up about how we are conserving energy.

Wouldn't it be great if more and more people picked up on this idea from New Jersey on Wind Energy. The cost initially would seem astronomical but in the long run, everyone would be better off for it. We would be much less dependent on foreign oil and the environment would be much cleaner.

There is so much agricultural land out there that it is definitely not the land issue. I am sure they can find farmers out there that would be willing to sell some of their acreage off for free use of the energy or to even lease the land for 100 years.

How have you cut back with energy consumption? Is there anything different you are doing?

My wife and I have cut back with heat, paper usage, and do more recycling. When doing errands we try to make it just once per week and set things up geographically, as I do with my Real Estate showings and business. We reuse the back of paper when appropriate. We have our ink cartridges refilled as much as possible.

We don't have to get carried away with energy conservation, but if each of us would just what just be more cognizant of what we do in our every day life and how we can adjust our usage, we all would be better for it.
