Rotary Group Study Exchange to the Philippines

February 11 - March 12, 2012

The Rotary Clubs of District 7370 invite applicants to be team members for the 2012 Rotary Group Study Exchanges to the Philippines. Four applicants will be selected to make up the Group Study Exchange team, led by a Rotarian team leader.

The team will visit the Cebu Island region of the Philippines for a four-week stay from February 11 - March 12, 2012. The Rotary Foundation pays transportation costs.

The purpose of the Group Study Exchange (GSE) is a vocational program designed to promote international understanding and goodwill through person-to-person contact. Through the program, young professionals share personal knowledge of their own vocations and experience the customs, vocations and culture of another.

While abroad, GSE team member stay in Rotarians' homes and have the opportunity to meet their professional counterparts. They will also give presentations to Rotary clubs and other groups about their home country. The Rotary Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket and local Rotarians in the host country provide meals, lodging and group travel in their district. Team members pay only for personal and incidental expenses.

Team members must be 25-40 years old and be employed full-time in a recognized business or profession.
