Can you Keep a Secret?

ash

Shhhh I'm not supposed to be telling anyone about this. So don't tell her I told you.

My daughter, AChrome (21) , is taking her Pennsylvania Real Estate License Exam soon. (I better not write the date in case a local reader reads and then says something to her - I'd be in Trou-ble!). She only told me cause she wants a celebratory dinner at Olive Garden in the case of a pass. I don't care why - I'm happy and honored she did!

I am so proud of AChrome (guess if she gets licensed, she'll be happy to have me plaster her real name all over the place :).....

She went to Real Estate classes while working full-time at RE/MAX Main Line and going to school full-time ! She also is heavy into social networking, works out at the gym, spends quality family time with us (and her almost 5 year old sister, LittleOne), and lives on her own in an apartment!

I don't know how she is fitting in study time - and she might just go "on-the-fly" to take this and see how she does. It's not an easy test - that's for sure, but regardless of the outcome.....

If you'd like to wish her well.... please do.... I'll let her see this... eventually :)

Update from my mobile at test center......

SHE PASSED !!!!!!!

I am sure she will do well. It is in her genes. Congratulations in advance.

Kim, I also work with my daughter! It is a wonderful life!!! You will have a blast and congratulate your daughter for us! Later in the rain~Deb

Congrats to your beautiful daughter.  How exciting for both of you.  I can't believe you are old enough to have a grown up daughter.  What a wonderful new chapter you are going to start!

Nice job...you make your momma so proud

AChrome,

Congrats!

Although this a not a deterrent, do not stress if you do not pass the first time around.  As I understand it, most people don't.  In fact, I discovered that many of the people who did best on the practice tests in class didn't pass the actual exam the first time around.  I know that most (except for one in the class) knew the answers, but they didn't come to them during the actual exam.  It's so easy to get all worked up and stressed out over it.  I know that I second guessed every single answer I gave.

I imagine you wanted to keep it a secret just in case you didn't pass the first time around, but don't let it knock you off your horse if you don't.  Real estate is in your genes!

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

I think the fact that she is working full time while getting the license will make her appreciate it more and value it more and make her work harder to keep it. I know that was the case with me! I know out of everyone in my class of 40 only two still have their license and out of those 45 only 2 paid for it themselves and were working full time while in class. The rest were paid for by mommy and daddy or a spouse and they didn't work while in class. (They just didn't appreciate it)

Good for her!  I hope she flourishes and does fantastic.  Theses kids are so good at socializing these days that it has to help in the real estate business.  Cheers!

Good luck to your daughter and what a beautiful thing to be proud of! I didn't tell my family until I was licensed either so I understand her secrecy over it. It can be intimidating.... Congrats and well wishes.

Kim - I see from the comments that she passed! Congratulations to her - have you had the Olive Garden dinner yet?

(07/05/08 06:06AM) — Norma J. Elkins
